Flight Test Engineer

Flight Test Engineer

As a Flight Test Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and oversee the flight test engineering on an unmanned air system. You will be responsible for testing and reporting all systems and architecture. You will also be supporting future design changes and engineering modifications to ensure the most capable platform is developed.  

 

The successful candidate will be required to help define and execute a thorough flight test on multiple articles throughout the design and development of the platform. 

  

Experience Required:

·       UAS Pilot experience 

•      US Citizen

·       Engineering background

·       Experience supporting military requirements analysis, and mission performance / effectiveness analysis 

·       Desire to support integration and development of new and existing

       systems in order to identify, integrate, and accurately represent specific  mission systems technologies.  

·       Ability to develop and conduct a thorough test plan capable of evaluating the various platform systems. 

·       Willingness to work on a small team performing complex engineering

       design evaluations for a diverse mission where everyone’s input matters. 

·       Desire for new challenges, to be on the ground floor of an exciting

       capability for our nation, and to be part of the initial cadre developing a new unmanned air-system. 

·       Experience working on multi-disciplinary design and development teams. 

·       Travel required for flight testing

  

Experience Preferred:

·       Test Pilot school 

·       Experience performing modeling & simulation to support defense-related

       projects and architecture.  Including analysis, documentation, and presentation of results. 

·       Experience in Aerospace and Defense development environments. 

·       Understanding of establishing and tracking key Technical Performance Measurements (TPM).

 

 The Flight Test Engineer position offers pay commensurate to skills and experience.  Full benefits are available such as medical, dental, vision, life, long-term disability, and 401(k) plan with employer match. 

 

Salary Range: $130K to $165K

Military Fixed-Wing Subject Matter Expert

Currently Corsair is seeking an experienced Military Fixed-Wing Pilot/Weapons Systems Officer/Electronic Countermeasures Officer Subject Matter Expert (SME) to play an integral role in the development of F-35 Lightning II pilot training in Fort Worth, TX. 

 

Part-time schedules as well as full-time will be considered. Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

 

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

        Leverage military aviation experience to support the development of common and service-unique pilot training for the F-35 aircraft.

        Analyze existing and future F-35 aircraft and weapons systems to determine pilot training requirements

        Provide expertise on military aviation techniques, philosophies , and evaluation considerations.

        Produce Instructional System Design (ISD) documents for academic, training device and flight instruction.

        Produce courseware for academic instruction.

        Report tasks planned and accomplished.

        Research technical documents in support of deliverables.

 

  Basic Qualifications:

        Military tactical aviation operational background

        Aviation experience (Pilot/WSO/ECMO) 

            (F-35, F-15C/E, F/A-18A-G, F-16, F-22, EA-6B, AV-8B, MQ-9)

        Operational squadron training instructor experience a plus

        FRS/RTU experience a plus

        Experience with MS Office suite

       US Government clearance required

       Must be a US citizen.

 

Desired Skills/experience:

       Military education and training, Intermediate Developmental Education (IDE) experience

       Weapons school graduate with combat experience (USAFWS, MAWTS, NFWS)

       Strong oral and written communication skills

        Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with team members
