For a second straight year, Corsair Engineering Inc. sponsored and participated in Crooms Academy of Information Technology TechFest. This year’s TechFest VIII, held at Crooms Academy in Orlando, FL, on March 13, 2014 gave students the opportunity to receive first-hand Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) information from people actively involved in STEM fields.

Representing Corsair Engineering were Elizabeth Szigeti and Ray Xie, who introduced students to Corsair’s virtual vehicle maintenance course. Students participating in this activity were challenged to remove and replace a tire on an MRAP vehicle. Participants were also given the opportunity to operate the sensor on a drone from Corsair’s unmanned aircraft demo. Crooms Academy students visit Corsair Engineering at TechFest VIII

According to Szigeti, “It was interesting talking to them about career options and being able to share what Corsair is doing in training and simulation.”

Corsair was a Freshman Sponsor for TechFest VII. According to the Academy, “Thanks to our sponsors and speakers, who have helped us raise over $27K. Every bit of the proceeds will go back to our students and teachers for career and college related programs. Much of it will be for scholarships.”
